Job Description

Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team in California. This position is perfect for individuals who excel in a collaborative environment and are looking to advance their accounting careers.

Responsibilities

  • Performing account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintaining and updating the general ledger with precision.
  • Utilizing QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Collaborating with the accounting team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Providing support for audits and tax preparations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education requirement is a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required Work Hours

The position requires a commitment to standard business hours, with flexibility for additional hours during peak periods.

Additional Details

The pay range for this position is between $27.00 and $30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
