Position Overview

We are seeking a Local Onsite Safety Manager to serve as the lead safety representative on a data center construction project in Sterling, VA. This role is critical in fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring full compliance with project and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary safety leader and point of contact on site.
• Review and approve Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
• Lead incident investigations and develop Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
• Conduct daily safety inspections and ensure timely submission of safety documentation by all trade partners.
• Oversee the onsite medical clinic and coordinate offsite care as needed.
• Participate in foreman, subcontractor, and OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings.
• Lead the monthly safety committee meeting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the owner’s onsite representative.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction safety experience (data center experience preferred).
• Certifications: CHST or CSP preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
