Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and manage facility and equipment project specifications, layouts, schedules, budgets, and funding approvals.
• Prepare capital appropriation requests, track expenditures, and maintain facility documentation and drawings.
• Evaluate new technologies, assess operational impact, and recommend improvements.
• Support production operations by identifying and resolving equipment/facility constraints.
• Monitor machine downtime, preventative maintenance, and energy use; implement corrective actions and report status.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Cal-OSHA, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead department staffing, including recruitment, hiring, coaching, performance management, and development of team members.
• Oversee EH&S programs, including MSDS compliance, labeling/storage, self-inspections, 6S audits, and safety huddles.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships; prepare quotations and procure equipment, services, and supplies.
• Actively contribute to the 6S Steering and Central Safety Committees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory and performance management experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Results-oriented, with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
