Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant to support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of our Workday platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring and deploying Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Finance modules , as well as partnering with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable system solutions.

This role requires strong functional Workday expertise, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Implementation & Configuration

• Lead or support the implementation and configuration of Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Finance modules.
• Configure business processes, pay components, time entry rules, cost centers, financial workflows, and integrations as needed.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into Workday functionality, and execute system configuration.

System Enhancements & Support

• Provide day-to-day functional Workday support, including troubleshooting, testing, and resolving system issues.
• Maintain data accuracy and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Partner with Payroll, HR, and Finance teams to optimize workflows and improve system usability.

Testing & Documentation

• Develop test scripts, perform system testing (unit, regression, and UAT), and validate system updates.
• Document system configuration, business processes, and functional specifications.
• Support Workday releases by analyzing impact, testing changes, and implementing enhancements.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Serve as a Workday subject matter expert for Payroll, Time Tracking, and Finance.
• Work closely with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Communicate system updates, enhancements, and best practices to end-users.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Workday functional experience , including Payroll, Time Tracking, and Finance.
• Strong understanding of Payroll operations, calculations, time tracking rules, accounting principles, and financial workflows.
• Experience supporting or leading at least one Workday implementation or major module rollout .
• Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and recommend scalable solutions.
• Strong documentation, testing, and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with HR, Payroll, and Finance stakeholders.
• Workday certifications in Payroll, Time Tracking, or Finance are a plus
