Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Vendor Relations Specialist to manage and enhance our client's supplier partnerships. This role is essential to ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor management within a manufacturing setting and a strong understanding of procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements to ensure favorable outcomes.
• Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., procurement, production, logistics) to align vendor capabilities with operational needs.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, contracts, and performance metrics.
• Identify and qualify new vendors to support business growth and diversification.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all vendor dealings.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in vendor relations, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
