Job Description

An industry-leading organization is seeking a Tax Manager to lead its tax provision and reporting activities. This role is responsible for optimizing tax compliance, managing a team, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support other tax areas such as sales tax, property tax, and payroll tax.
• Manage ASC 740 quarterly and annual tax provision processes.
• Review tax credits, FIN 48, and UNICAP.
• Lead and develop tax accounting staff.
• Respond to tax authority inquiries and manage audit communications.
• Oversee preparation of federal and state income tax returns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• 10+ years of tax experience. Public accounting or corporate settings experience is a plus.
• Strong federal, state, and local tax knowledge.
• Industry experience in manufacturing, retail, insurance, or mortgage sectors is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and strong in organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
