Job Description

Stagehands serve as intermittent staff for the Schottenstein Center and provide general support for special events, including load-in and load-out. Stagehands follow direction from staff and road crew, interact and communicate well, work safely as part of a team, and are flexible and accepting of changes in a creative environment.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Truck loading/unloading
• General labor including box pushing
• Driving a forklift
• Setting construction carpentry/staging and props
• Performing fly rail and loading bridge operations
• Installing and operating lighting and electrical
• Installing and operating sound equipment
• Running video presentation components (camera, switcher, projector, display screen)
• Rigging installation/operation
• Managing stage crew
  
  

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience handling show production equipment and using hand tools
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. safely, work at height from ladders and personnel lifts and have the ability to reach, climb and kneel
