Job Description

A health services network on Long Island is actively seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of their preschools in Suffolk County.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8:30am to 2pm
• Patient Population: Preschool-aged

Responsibilities:

• Perform evaluations and informal assessments
• Prepare and set up treatment area/activities for assigned children.
• Implement and coordinate goal-oriented therapy, which incorporates environmental modifications, augmentative communication, modeling, expansion, feedback and the use of positive reinforcement strategies.
• Document progress using daily notes, quarterly progress notes and annual review report.
• Consult with classroom staff. Attend team and departmental meetings.
• Communication regarding progress and carry over with families.
• Evaluate students in preparation for Annual Review. Attend CPSE meetings when needed.
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• NYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
• TSSLD
• Solid assessment and documentation skills

Desired Skills:

• 1+ year of Clinical experience
