Onward Search Education is a specialized education staffing and talent solutions company that helps educators, therapists, and school health professionals find top jobs with the nation's top schools. We’re partnering with a school district in Detroit, MI to hire dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) for the 2025–2026 school year. We have two openings for SLPs to share a caseload of approximately 60 students.

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide direct therapy and support to students K–12, helping them develop communication, speech, and language skills. This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create individualized education programs (IEPs) and track student progress.

Position Details:

• Location: In-person preferred (hybrid considered only if no other option is available)
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 30-minute lunch
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 35
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: June 12th
• Caseload: 60 students shared between two SLPs
• Student Age/Grade: K–12

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group speech-language therapy to students K–12 according to IEPs.
• Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to inform and update IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student learning and communication goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student success plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapy strategies tailored to each student’s needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License to work in schools.
• Experience providing speech-language therapy in a K–12 school setting.
• Knowledge of IEP development, assessment, and documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for supporting students’ communication and educational success.
