ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Loan Manager will be an integral part of the Economic Prosperity Team at Enterprising Latinas, Inc. This position requires a genuine desire to work with small business owners of diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.

This is a part-time (25 hours per week) hourly position with the potential to become a full-time role, depending on performance and the availability of funding after the initial probationary period. The successful candidate will possess the required qualifications, have a passion for learning and helping others learn and develop their potential, understand the nature of unequal access to resources and opportunities at the local level, and be committed to contributing to a dynamic and vibrant organization dedicated to economic and social equity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with ELI’s Business Development team to follow up with current members, new applications, and loans in the pipeline.
  • Report on and manage loan program data, including tracking progress, analyzing performance metrics, and preparing regular updates for leadership and funders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, lenders, and stakeholders to strengthen program reach and impact.
  • Participate in the design and development of loan products and lending policies that align with community needs and market research.
  • Monitor repayment performance and assist in loan servicing, including delinquency management and collections.
  • Support overall financial empowerment initiatives by connecting members to complementary training, coaching, and business support services.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, entrepreneurship, economic development, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of solid work experience in micro-lending, commercial banking, or underwriting.
  • Strong communications, analytical, and organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities with business coaching, business planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and navigating through government resources.
  • Bilingual abilities in speaking, reading, and writing in both English and Spanish are required.
  • Must have appropriate transportation as the position requires local travel.
  • Experience in small business financing, CDFI, or community development lending is preferred.
  • Knowledge and strategic thinking about entrepreneurship resources and opportunities.
  • Analytical abilities to process, understand, and make decisions based on data, and the ability to communicate what the data means to multiple audiences.
  • Highly skilled in using computer systems, equipment, and software, including Microsoft Office.
