Job Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledger integrity, and supporting audits and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Coordinate and complete month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies.
  • Lead or assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support budget and forecasting activities.
  • Review junior accountants' work for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support tax preparation and filings as needed.
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other MS Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control practices
  • Experience in a multi-entity or international company environment
