A Security Service Technician is responsible for installing, programming, servicing, and troubleshooting electronic security systems across education, healthcare, and commercial environments. This role handles the full lifecycle of security systems, from initial hookup and programming to ongoing service, emergency repairs, and system modifications. The technician works directly with customers, providing training and support while ensuring all systems operate reliably and meet project specifications. Responsibilities also include reading blueprints and schematics, maintaining accurate documentation, managing inventory, coordinating projects, and supporting small to large-scale jobs. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring strong technical aptitude, organization, and problem-solving skills.
