Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & PO Management

• Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, including creation, approval submission, release, and delivery tracking.
• Issue, process, and maintain accurate purchase orders for raw materials, mechanical parts, packaging, MRO items, and finished goods components.
• Maintain item master data accuracy, including part numbers, descriptions, pricing, and lead times.

Vendor & Manufacturer Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for domestic and international suppliers.
• Request, review, and confirm vendor lead times, production capacity, delivery dates, freight options, and shipment status.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, compliance, and service consistency.
• Compare supplier quotes, negotiate pricing when applicable, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.

Production & Warehouse Collaboration

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to support special material requirements, urgent orders, and specification changes.
• Expedite critical parts to prevent manufacturing delays or line stoppages.
• Support warehouse operations by assisting with receiving validation and vendor delivery accuracy when needed.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed to support material movement in the facility.

Inventory Visibility & Material Planning

• Monitor stock levels and track material demand to maintain appropriate reorder points and safety stock.
• Audit open purchase orders against work-in-progress (WIP) and inventory needs.
• Review production schedules to ensure procurement aligns with manufacturing forecasts.
• Maintain inventory and procurement reporting using Excel, Google Sheets, or ERP inventory dashboards.

Compliance, Safety & Risk Mitigation

• Ensure all purchasing activity adheres to regulatory requirements, internal manufacturing controls, and documented procedures.
• Support and participate in supplier audits focused on quality, safety compliance, and supply chain continuity.
• Assist in internal injury-prevention initiatives by reinforcing safety compliance during procurement-related warehouse or material-handling support.
