Position Summary

Detail-oriented Production Test Engineer with hands-on experience in developing, commissioning, and supporting complex automated test systems and fixtures for high-reliability manufacturing environments. Adept at interpreting wiring diagrams, diagnosing test failures, and implementing process improvements using platforms such as LabVIEW and TestStand. Proficient with electronic test instruments and knowledgeable in PCB design and assembly processes. Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product transitions from development to production, while maintaining compliance with quality and calibration standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Actively work with Test Developer in constructing and commissioning complex test systems and associated test fixtures.
  • Ability to understand wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex fixtures and wire new fixtures for NPI projects.
  • Work with Test Developers and Repair Associates to troubleshoot/resolve production issues using tools such as LabVIEW and TestStand and recommend changes in testing or processing methods.
  • Validate Software and Hardware for NPI and existing legacy products prior to production release.
  • Assist in purchasing Test Instruments and other electrical components as necessary.
  • Experience with using instruments such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, waveform generators and soldering equipment.
  • Basic familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Assist QA, safety, and maintenance teams with maintaining instrument registration and calibration.
  • Collaborates well with team cross functional team members such as QA, compliance, hardware, software and production teams.
  • Previous experience with creating/maintaining technical documents and drawings.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree in an Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline. Electrical Engineering Preferred.
  • Intelligent problem-solving ability and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of electrical component level troubleshooting and debugging
