Job Description

Mr. Rooter Plumbing is looking for a motivated and results-driven Field Manager to oversee, support, and develop our field team. In this role, you’ll supervise field technicians, ensure top-tier customer service, and drive operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced plumbing professional with strong leadership skills to make a significant impact on our team and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Development & Leadership

• Hire, mentor, and train field technicians to deliver outstanding service.
• Identify training needs and collaborate with Talent and HR teams.
• Conduct regular site visits to evaluate technician performance and provide monthly coaching (or more frequently, as needed).
• Facilitate one-on-one meetings with employees to review performance and skill development.

Operational Management

• Oversee scheduling, technician assignments, and delivery of supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with dispatch, business unit managers, and support staff to implement best practices in field operations.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with field policies, including time tracking, job closure processes, uniform standards, and safety requirements.
• Ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained according to the maintenance schedule.

Customer & Business Focus

• Drive exceptional customer satisfaction through effective technician supervision and problem resolution.
• Support business growth by maintaining high service standards and identifying improvement opportunities.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Residential Plumber.
• 1+ years in a lead or managerial role, or equivalent experience.
• Strong ability to perform, teach, and improve relevant plumbing tasks.
• Excellent organizational, time management, project management, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with Service Titan software is a plus.
• Exceptional communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for innovation and industry leadership.

Working Conditions:

• Work involves standing for extended periods, moderate lifting, and use of various tools.
• Operate inside customers’ homes and adapt to unexpected situations.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions and road conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight stays in certain markets.
