Job Description: Performance & Cognitive Coach (Law Enforcement Site)

We are seeking a dedicated Performance Coach to work at one of our contract sites, a law enforcement agency . All applicants must pass a background check upon hiring.

This role goes beyond physical training—it integrates mental training and cognitive performance development . You will assist in managing a performance facility and provide multi-dimensional support for attendees through physical conditioning, mindset training, and cognitive optimization.

Core Responsibilities
  • Conduct fitness assessments (e.g., body composition, endurance, movement, and strength evaluations)
  • Instruct group physical training sessions (mobility, strength, conditioning)
  • Lead cognitive performance training sessions (e.g., reaction time drills, attention training, working memory tasks)
  • Facilitate mental training sessions (e.g., visualization, stress inoculation, goal setting, breathing strategies)
  • Administer HRV monitoring and cognitive testing as part of our Mindset Management protocols
  • Deliver 1-on-1 consults combining fitness, mental, and cognitive development planning
  • Support program design that integrates physical, mental, and cognitive components
  • Maintain and organize the facility, ensuring all tools and equipment are functioning
  • Conduct woorkshops
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Psychology, Cognitive Science , or a related field ( required )
  • Certification in personal training , strength & conditioning , or group fitness (e.g., NASM, NSCA, ACE) ( preferred )
  • Certification or training in mental performance coaching , cognitive training , or stress physiology (e.g., HRV Biofeedback, NeuroTracker, mindfulness-based programs) ( preferred )
Experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in fitness coaching or performance training
  • Experience working with law enforcement , military , or tactical populations ( preferred )
  • Familiarity with cognitive training methods and mental skills coaching
  • Experience conducting assessments and developing holistic performance plans
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong foundation in physiology, psychology, and cognitive science as it relates to human performance
  • Ability to design programs that combine physical fitness , cognitive training , and mental resilience
  • Clear communicator with strong motivational and instructional presence
  • Comfortable leading group and individual sessions across multiple domains
  • Technologically capable with tools related to HRV, cognitive testing apps, and basic data tracking
Additional Requirements
  • Must pass a background check
  • Available to work weekday afternoons (3–7 PM) with flexibility up to 20 hrs/week
  • Professionalism, discretion, and adaptability in a high-performance, law enforcement environment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, move, and demonstrate fitness equipment and exercises
  • Capable of engaging in prolonged periods of standing, movement, and moderate-to-intense physical activity
