PATTERN MAKER – SYACUSE, NEW YORK

WEBCO HR, Inc. is seeking a Pattern Maker for one of your clients located in Syracuse New York.

SUMMARY:

The Pattern Maker(Metal) Position is 1st Shift.The core hoursare 6:00am to

2:30pm and the hourly rate is 34.86.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, layout and perform a wide varietyof extremely complexand difficult hand finishing operations on rough castingsof complicated formsto be used as patterns, core boxes and permanent molds.
• Make build-ups or fabricate patterns, core boxes and permanent moldsmade of variousmaterials.
• Layout, align and fasten split sections to make plates or cope and drag plates. Duties require extremelydifficult layout to establish inter-relationship of dimensions. Establishinterim dimensions not shown on prints.
• Setup and operateall types of machine tools, plus conventional and numerical controlled machines, devising and improvising toolingand setup for individual requirements.
• Must be capableof programming softwarefor CNC machining such as the use of SolidWorks.
• Requiredto know patternmaking techniques and processes but may developown as required.
• Perform hand and bench operations requiring intricate operations such as fitting,polishing, scraping, etc.
• Check work to required tolerances and layout and make templateswhen necessary. Make allowance for draft, shrinkageand finish. Detect errors in prints and specifications and refer these and other unusual conditions to superior.
• Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities such as minormaintenance that includescleaning, inspection, minor lubrication and tightening loose bolts.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of four (4) years Journeyman-level Patternmaker experience OR Journeyman license.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Experience setting up, programming and operating CNC machinery.
• Experience with Solids Works and Master Cam.

COMPENSATION:

• $34.86 per hour.
