About the Role:

• We are launching a new drone delivery program and are seeking highly motivated Ground Handlers to support day-to-day operations.
• This role is critical in preparing packages and drones for safe and timely launches while ensuring a seamless customer delivery experience.
• Candidates should thrive in a structured, fast-paced operational environment, with strong attention to detail and safety.

Job Title : Drone Handler

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end workflow checks for package preparation, including verifying package size/weight for drone delivery.
• Prepare drones for launch, including safety checks and placement on launch pads.
• Support a continuous, conveyor-like operation to maintain delivery speed and accuracy.
• When drone delivery is not possible, use a company-provided vehicle to deliver packages within the required service-level window (typically within 60 minutes).
• Maintain adherence to operational SOPs, checklists, and safety standards at all times.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and remain on feet for extended periods.
• Collaborate with Flight Operations teams during handoff for drone launch.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
• Experience in operations, logistics, fulfillment, or other fast-paced commercial environments.
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in aviation, drone operations, or related fields.
• Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Military background strongly preferred.
• Previous fulfillment center or high-volume logistics experience

Location: San Antonio, TX

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $30K/year- $353K/Year. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
