UF Health Leesburg Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. This full-time role provides hands-on, patient-centered care across a diverse inpatient and/or outpatient population. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions to restore function, mobility, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, PT, SLP, and case management to support coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safe functional activity.
- Document assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.
- Maintain professional competencies and uphold UF Health quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy required.
- Current Florida OT License (or eligibility prior to start).
- BLS certification required (or obtained within orientation period).
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication skills, and patient engagement ability.
- Preferred: Experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or outpatient settings.
Schedule
- Full-time; specific shift discussed during interview.
- May include weekend or holiday rotation based on department needs.
