Maintenance Manager
About Us:
Steves & Sons, a 159-year-old family-owned door manufacturer, seeks a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the installation, repair, and upkeep of our equipment and facilities. We're looking for a hands-on leader with a proven background in continuous improvement and team management.
Job Summary:
We're seeking a Maintenance Manager to manage our maintenance personnel, develop and implement maintenance processes, and ensure our operations meet customer expectations. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance and quality processes and procedures
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues with products, equipment, and facilities
- Plan and oversee repair and installation activities
- Maintain equipment in working order, with minimum downtime
- Supervise maintenance team members and allocate workload
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
- Keep quality and maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies

- Strong leadership and mentorship skills

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Business Administration, Facility Management, or related field a plus
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred, but not required
- Solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as millwork skills
- Working knowledge of facilities, machines, and equipment
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
