Job Description
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in LOTO programs within biotech, pharma, or industrial manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of P&IDs, electrical schematics, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with bioprocessing equipment (e.g., stainless steel piping, pumps, tanks).
- Comfortable working in a GMP-regulated, high-safety environment.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Pluses:
- Movable equipment certification preferred.
- Experience with CIP/SIP systems, WFI, and clean utilities
Project Overview
Our client is developing one of the largest end-to-end cell culture biomanufacturing facilities in North America. As operations scale, a dedicated Operations Safety Team is being formed to take over all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) responsibilities from commissioning partners and transition to internal safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute LOTO plans using P&IDs, electrical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Write and manage: LOTO Permits, P&ID Markups, SSOW (Safe System of Work), HA (Job Hazard Analysis), LOTO Packets for commissioning and construction partner sign-off
- Perform field lockouts on black clean process systems, utilities, and movable equipment.
- Support Turnover Systems (TOS) LOTO and ensure full compliance with site protocols.
- Implement group lockout procedures when multiple personnel are involved.
