Addison Group is partnering with a prominent international law firm to support their search for a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their high-performing team in Washington, DC. Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant with strong organizational skills and a client-service mindset. This individual will work closely with a team of attorneys and administrative professionals to ensure seamless support across scheduling, communication, and documentation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver administrative support to a team of attorneys in collaboration with 2-3 other legal assistants.
  • Manage calendars, schedule client meetings, and coordinate travel logistics (domestic & international).
  • Handle meeting setup including room reservations, catering, and guest check-in processes.
  • Prepare, edit, and format legal correspondence and documents using firm-standard software.
  • Monitor and assist with email communications and ensure deadlines are tracked and met.
  • Support internal processes including billing, timesheet entry, and document filing systems.
  • Offer back-up support to colleagues when needed and engage in overflow tasks.
  • Promote teamwork by sharing best practices and assisting less experienced team members.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of legal administrative experience, ideally from a large law firm.
  • Familiarity with tools such as iManage, Intapp Time, MS Office 365, and Workday.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to type at least 50 WPM and score 80%+ on spelling/grammar and Microsoft Word assessments (testing required before interview).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to pitch in on all levels of work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Details:

  • This is a direct hire position with immediate consideration.
  • Hybrid work schedule : Onsite Tuesday through Thursday; remote Monday and Friday.
  • Work hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hours/week, overtime eligible).
  • Interview process includes: Online assessments (MS Word, typing, grammar)
