The Justice & Diversity Center of The Bar Association of San Francisco (JDC) has an exciting opportunity for an Intensive Case Manager position at our Homeless Advocacy Project (HAP).
HAP works with tenants who are facing unlawful detainers (evictions,) prioritizing clients who have mental and/or physical disabilities, and tenants living in the 94102 (Tenderloin) zip code. HAP’s Eviction Defense Team provides full scope representation (start to finish) for tenants in unlawful detainers. The HAP holistic approach supports clients in maintaining their housing by addressing multiple facets of their lives to tackle underlying problems that have placed them at risk.
JDC is a non-profit organization that provides free legal services to low-income people in San Francisco, and to other nonprofits that serve underrepresented communities. We do this work in part through directly representing clients and in part through recruiting private practice attorneys and legal professionals to assist clients pro bono. JDC’s staff and volunteer attorneys serve over 8,500 low-income people a year, many of whom face loss of their housing, income or disability benefits, or divorce and child custody issues. JDC’s holistic advocacy approach addresses clients’ legal and social service needs to help them achieve lasting change in their lives.
