Direct Hire Opportunity: Health & Safety Officer – Mesa, AZ
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a client in the security manufacturing industry to help them find their next Health & Safety Officer for their Mesa facility. This is a direct hire, full-time role reporting to the Operations Manager/Regional Director.
This position goes beyond compliance — it’s about being the on-site leader for workplace safety and the first responder in medical emergencies.
What makes this role unique:
A dedicated medical treatment suite onsite, fully stocked with advanced first aid, burn care, oxygen equipment, hydration resources, and AED.
Strong focus on heat safety programs in Arizona’s extreme weather.
Opportunity to shape safety culture through training, drills, investigations, and proactive prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enforce health & safety policies and procedures
Provide immediate medical aid — wound care, CPR, AED operation, splinting, burn treatment
Lead heat illness prevention initiatives
Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
Conduct safety training and emergency drills
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years’ health & safety experience (industrial/manufacturing preferred)
Certified in First Aid, CPR & AED
Strong OSHA knowledge
Calm, decisive presence in emergencies
Excellent communication & training skills
Preferred: EMT certification, OSHA 30, accident investigation experience
