Position Title: Quality Assurance (Food Safety) Specialist

Duration: Full Time, Direct Hire

Compensation: $67,400-$90,000/Year

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Insight Global is hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist on behalf of a client in the flour milling sector. This role is responsible for leading food safety and quality assurance efforts, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal protocols. Daily duties include designing and refining food safety systems like HACCP, GMPs, and FSMA, performing risk evaluations, and managing internal and external audits.

This individual will work cross-functionally to promote a strong food safety culture, conduct wheat and flour quality testing, oversee flour specifications and product COAs, and address customer quality concerns. They will also ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping to support quality and compliance initiatives. Leadership is a key component, as the role involves supervising a team of QA and food safety staff—and in some locations, overseeing grain elevator operations. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements (Must-Haves):

• 2 to 7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within the flour milling industry
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):

• Certifications such as PCQI, HACCP, SQF, or Food Defense
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
