Job Title: Director of Employee Benefits

Location: Miami, FL area (Onsite - 5 days/week)

As the Director of Employee Benefits, you will oversee a wide range of employee benefit programs while playing a key role in shaping our offerings and enhancing employee well-being. Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee health and retirement benefits programs
  • Manage the employee Leave of Absence (LOA) process, including FMLA tracking and compliance
  • Maintain benefit elections for new and eligible employees
  • Oversee the new hire benefits enrollment process
  • Ensure all benefit plans comply with company guidelines and regulations
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure timely premium payments
  • Review and process tuition reimbursement requests
  • Manage disability claims, workers' compensation cases, and OSHA reports
  • Partner with insurance carriers to resolve eligibility and claims issues
  • Assist with Open Enrollment preparation and communication
  • Oversee COBRA administration
  • Track benefit premium payments for employees on leave
  • Coordinate beneficiary forms

Must-Have Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • 4+ years of experience specifically focused on employee benefits
  • Must have retail industry experience, preferably in merchandising, consumer goods, or fashion
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Docs, and HRIS systems
  • Experience overseeing Open Enrollment for a medium to large-sized company
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • General knowledge of benefits regulations

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
  • Experience working in a large retail organization
