Job Title: Credentialing Specialist

Location: St. Louis, MO 63131

Pay rate: $40 to 45/hr

Duration : 6 +months Contract with possibility of extension and conversion

Position Summary

Job Summary:

The Provider Credentialing and Privileging Analyst is responsible for the design, development, and standardization of privilege forms for healthcare providers in alignment with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. This role plays a key part in supporting the transition to the CredentialStream platform and enhancing the efficiency and consistency of credentialing and privileging processes across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of healthcare credentialing, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CredentialStream to support the smooth implementation and adoption of credentialing software across the organization.
  • Design, develop, and standardize privilege forms for healthcare providers in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of current credentialing and privileging processes , identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Clean and validate data in the current system (ECHO) to ensure accurate migration and reporting.
  • Assist in data migration, workflow optimization, and process redesign to enhance efficiency during CredentialStream implementation.
  • Support the standardization of credentialing and privileging policies and procedures across all facilities.
  • Assist in the review and revision of policies to ensure compliance with TJC, NCQA, CMS , and other regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and external stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure privilege forms meet organizational needs.
  • Regularly update and maintain privilege forms to reflect regulatory and internal policy changes.
  • Conduct testing and validation of all privilege forms and related workflows to ensure accuracy, compliance, and functionality.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in provider credentialing and privileging.
  • Provide training and support to staff on new privilege forms and policy updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with credentialing systems such as CredentialStream or ECHO .
  • Familiarity with credentialing standards set by TJC, NCQA, CMS, and state licensing boards .
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
