Construction Administrator
Location: Jenkintown, PA
Employment Type: Temporary, 3-6 Months (Potential to go permanent)
Salary: $35/Hr
Schedule:
5-6 Days per week. Currently working 6 but that might change as they proceed along with the project.
Start Time would be 8-9am daily
They said the expectation should be 10-12 hour days (more than likely days would run about 10 hours at most).
They are now estimating a project Duration of 3-6 months
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Administrator to support our project management team and ensure the smooth execution of construction projects.
Job Summary:
The Construction Administrator will provide administrative support for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials, accurate documentation, and effective communication between project stakeholders. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work under deadlines, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Documentation: Prepare, review, and manage project documents, including contracts, submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and bid packages. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Material Coordination: Coordinate the procurement and delivery of construction materials to the work site, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
• Cost Management: Calculate construction costs, verify they align with project plans, and assist in reviewing contractor payment requests.
• Communication Liaison: Act as a point of contact between project managers, subcontractors, clients, and vendors. Relay administrative paperwork and updates to construction specialists and other professionals.
• Compliance and Approvals: Ensure all necessary permits, insurance, and certifications are up-to-date and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. Assist in preparing bid packages in accordance with legal requirements.
• Database Management: Maintain databases to track subcontractor certifications, insurance expirations, and project milestones.
• Project Closeout: Organize and distribute project closeout manuals, ensuring all contracts are completed and documentation is finalized.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• 2-3 years of experience as a Construction Administrator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
• Strong organizational skills.
