A Day in the Life of a Concrete Finisher

As a Concrete Finisher with our client, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality concrete and asphalt work for various construction projects. From flatwork and curb forms to stairs and ADA ramps, your contributions will help ensure safe, durable, and visually appealing structures across communities.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform site prep, repairs, and general labor for concrete and asphalt jobs
• Mix, pour, and finish concrete using proper techniques and tools
• Operate hand and power tools (saws, drills, compactors, jackhammers, etc.)
• Build, set, and strip forms for sidewalks, ramps, curbs, and more
• Read blueprints, set grades, and plan ahead to meet project specs
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and follow safety protocols
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Assist and collaborate with supervisors and crew members
• Operate dump trucks or other work vehicles when needed
• Show up on time, ready to work, and continuously improve skills

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in concrete finishing and form setting
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
• 5+ years of Mechanical experience
• 5+ years of General Carpentry experience
• Ability to read blueprints and tape measures
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a drug test
