Job Description

Job Summary:

As a leading petrochemical producer, we are looking for a talented Chemical Engineer to join our team at the Haverhill, OH site, where we manufacture Acetone, Phenol, and Alpha-Methylstyrene. This role offers the opportunity to drive process optimization, troubleshoot complex challenges, and support key projects that enhance the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize chemical processes to enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting process and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement improvements and best practices.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including operating procedures and process flow diagrams.
• Participate in process safety management (PSM) activities, including hazard analysis and risk assessments.
• Support capital and plant improvement projects by contributing to design, procurement, and commissioning efforts.
• Analyze process data to identify trends and recommend process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and engineering initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of chemical processes, process control systems, and equipment.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) principles is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen) is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
