About the Role

The Life Insurance Case Manager plays a critical role in supporting the underwriting and sales process by managing life insurance applications from submission through policy issue. This position acts as the liaison between clients, agents, underwriters, and insurance carriers to ensure a smooth, timely, and efficient experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and customer-service driven.

Duties + Responsibilities

  • Review and process new life insurance applications for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate Exams for clients and ordering of health records
  • Communicate with agents, clients, and carriers to obtain required documentation and resolve outstanding issues
  • Work with the New Business Coordinator to track and monitor the progress of each case to ensure timely movement through underwriting and policy issuance.
  • Maintain detailed records in the case management system, ensuring accurate updates at all stages of the process
  • Collaborate with the New Business Coordinator to expedite requirements and facilitate decision-making
  • Provide status updates and professional support to the New Business Coordinator throughout the underwriting process
  • Assist with post-issue activities, including delivery requirements and client onboarding
  • Ongoing service items related to existing clients

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in life insurance case management or a related insurance/financial services role
  • Strong knowledge of life insurance products, terminology, and underwriting processes
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in CRM or case tracking systems (e.g., SmartOffice, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Benefits + Compensation

  • Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) are available immediately
  • Paid vacation and sick/personal time are flexible (use with consideration)

  • Salary $60,000-$75,000 depending on experience + bonuses
