Position Overview

The Senior IT Business Analyst plays a key role in analyzing, designing, and delivering technology solutions that align with organizational goals and business needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in business process analysis, application integration, and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate is skilled at bridging the gap between business objectives and technical execution, ensuring scalable and sustainable solutions across systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, document, and refine detailed business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Evaluate current processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and integration.
• Translate business needs into clear specifications, user stories, and technical documentation for development teams.
• Lead initiatives involving system integrations, including APIs, middleware, and data exchange across platforms and external partners.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and architecture teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards for security, scalability, and performance.
• Facilitate solution design sessions with cross-functional teams to evaluate technical and operational impacts.
• Create business process documentation, data flow diagrams, and system maps for both current and future states.
• Support vendor selection processes, including RFP development, evaluations, and implementation planning.
• Contribute to QA/UAT processes by developing test cases, validating outcomes, and ensuring end-to-end functionality.
• Monitor solution performance post-implementation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior analysts and help define business analysis standards, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst with a focus on enterprise systems and integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in business process modeling, requirements gathering, and documentation.
• In-depth understanding of system interoperability, API integrations, and middleware technologies.
• Solid grasp of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and security principles.
• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, ITIL, or TOGAF.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Workday, Salesforce, or SAP.
• Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern DevOps methodologies.
